Our ultrasonic sensors are self-contained solid-state devices designed for non-contact sensing of solid and liquid objects. For many applications, such as monitoring the level of water in a tank, ultrasonic technology lets a single device to do a job that would otherwise require multiple sensors. Our sensors are available in several sensing ranges and styles with either an analog or discrete output depending on the model.

Proximity-Style Ultrasonic Sensors

Our Bulletin 873C Proximity-style Ultrasonic Sensors can detect solid and liquid targets from a distance of up to 1 m (3.3 ft). We offer two versions of this sensor: a background suppression unit with analog voltage output or a standard diffuse mode with a digital output.

Analog or Discrete Output Ultrasonic Sensors

Our Bulletin 873P Analog or Discrete Output Ultrasonic Sensors are IO-Link enabled, and are ideal for applications that can be challenging for other sensing technologies, such as in the detection of clear, shiny or non-reflective objects. These sensors offer a wider range of operating voltages and simplified push-button setup.

General Purpose Ultrasonic Sensors

Our Bulletin 873M General Purpose Ultrasonic Sensors are designed to detect solid or liquid targets by using sound waves. These compact sensors provide enhanced flexibility for areas with limited space and are excellent for standard packaging and assembly applications. They are ideal for sensing targets that are challenging for photoelectric sensors to detect, including clear, shiny, or non-reflective objects.

Clear Object Ultrasonic Sensors

Our Bulletin 873E RightSound™ Clear Object Ultrasonic Sensors are opposed-mode sensors consisting of an emitter and a receiver. The receiver is microprocessor-based and provides advanced temperature stability and noise immunity. The emitter volume control adjusts the volume for the sensing distance and other variables of your application.
